Extruded Pellet Products

Packaging

Packaging options for pellets include multi-walled kraft bags with 20lb/9kg and 50lb/22.7kg capacities as well as 2,200lb/998kg super sacks.

The shape of the pellet is a primary factor determining the type and size of package available to you. Shipping method will also influence the packaging option that is right for you.

Shapes including twists, rings, large shells, and narrow strips are best packaged in 20lb/9kg bags to minimize the potential for breakage during transport. Bags of this size and weight are commonly stacked and cross stacked with __ bags on a skid.

Chips, grids, circular tubes, split peas and small balls can be packaged in 50lb/22.7kg bags. Bags of this size and weight are commonly stacked and cross stacked with __ bags on a skid. These can be slip sheeted rather than palletized and double stacked to optimize loading.

Split peas and small balls are well suited to the 2,200lb/998kg super sacks. However, if you will be shipping containers by ocean freight, the 50lb/22.7kg bags will stack more efficiently for container fill.
