CERATEX® Flaking Grits
A pure corn product with no additives. Flakes absorb other flavors and retain moisture for better freshness.
CERATEX® Flaking Grits are also known as Confectioners Flakes. They can be used to add a light and flaky texture to batters and breading for fish, poultry, and cheese including Japanese tempura and Italian Polenta. When mixed with fig and/or fruit paste, they retain moisture and provide lighter consistency for breakfast pastries, filled cookies and granola bars. Confectioners Flakes give a lighter, crunchier texture to candy centers prior to chocolate enrobing. They can also be used to agglomerate flavorings and colors, then used as a crunchy topping or added to RTE cereals. CERATEX® "Readiflakes" are a brewers flake specially formulated to reduce processing steps in the brewing of a light tasting beer with a crisp, clean flavor.
CERATEX® Flaked Corn products are available in white or yellow, and in coarse, medium and fine granulations. They include no additives, are naturally gluten-free, and are Kosher/Halal.
