Grown and produced in North America, J.R. Short's Arepa Corn Meals offer a short cut from what was once a labor intensive process to make the authentic Latin American flatbread called Arepa. Made from the finest yellow and white corn CERATEX ® Arepa Meals are pre-gelatinized for easy absorbtion.
Baked or grilled cakes, Arepas are served plain with butter, or stuffed with eggs, cheese, vegetables or meat. Rapidly growing in popularity, Arepas are appearing on restaurant and fast food menus as breakfast griddle cakes, side dishes, appetizers and dessert bases.
